The South Central Society for Music Theory is currently planning to hold its 2022 regional conference in a hybrid format with the option for both virtual and in-person presentations. The in-person meeting is scheduled to be hosted by the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music, University of Memphis on April 1–2, 2022; the virtual sessions will be held on days surrounding this in late March/early April. We are cautiously optimistic that the current national surge in COVID-19 cases will subside by early April. Nevertheless, if conditions demand that we migrate to a fully-online format, this decision will be announced by March 3rd, 2022 (four weeks before the conference begins). Until that time, those planning to travel to Memphis by plane, train, or bus should either wait to make travel arrangements or purchase refundable tickets. Memphis, Tennessee is home to a vibrant music scene and is within a 6-hour drive of many southern and midwestern universities.
